Shocker: K-9 Unit Heels Florida Man Holding Meth
Not Jesse Eisenberg
Tyler Liccardi, 23, was arrested after a K-9 alerted on his vehicle and methamphetamine was found tucked in his pocket. He was pulled over on U.S. 441 at 1:45 a.m. on Aug. 5 in Leesburg when a Leesburg police officer ran the car’s license plate and found it was not registered to the vehicle. Strike One. The tag was also expired. Steerike TWO! And upon further checking also revealed Liccardi was driving on a suspended license. STRIKE THREE – YER OUTTA THERE!
A K-9 unit arrived on the scene and the dog alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of drugs. A search turned up a baggie containing methamphetamine in Liccardi’s pocket. Smoking devices and a digital scale were also found in the vehicle (for good measure).
Liccardi was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $8,000 bond.
